Construction of the Kinser Air Filter System

Kinser Air Filter systems are constructed of the following elements:

Base Plate:
The base plate is used to mount the system to the carburetor or fuel injection system.  The base plate is available in fiberglass or carbon fiber.  Rubber seals are used to attach the base plate to the carburetor or fuel injection system.

Cage:
The cage is an aluminum dome that gives the air filter its shape and allows air to flow into the filter from all directions.

Filter:
The filter element is made of open cell filter foam and fits around the cage.  When soaked with filter oil it provides the ultimate in protection and can be easily washed in soap and water.

Qualifying Filter:
Made of less dense foam, the qualifying filter is an option that can be installed on extremely dusty tracks, or can be run seperately in qualifying to maximize air flow.

Outerwear:
A nylon cover that provides additional filter and protection for the filter foam.
